From Texas Onward. . .

Well we finally got our paper orders. . . FINALLY!!!! And yes they have my name on them!! YEAH!!

Well J got an email from the Tripler Sgt. that he is supposed to have been in contact with since June but hasn't due to all of the other wonderful BS that his squad does. The email stated that he was to be attached to the clinic at Schofield and what all the duties there would be. It also gave him some information as well as contacts for everything from housing (temporary and permanent) to general travel which was great!! Maybe now things will move forward a little quicker.
J is also today supposed to be getting everything ready as far as the command sponsor paperwork finished out and get his final set of orders cut!! I imagine that he'll have those by the end of the week if nothing else comes up to hinder the progress!!

Aloha and Welcome

We recieved our welcome packet from the Tripler welcome group finally and now the move that we have known was underway since April seems a little more real and a lot closer. I have been getting both myself and my loving little dog, MIMIC, ready for this move since we found out and now it is just one more thing on the list which seems to grow bigger with each thing I should be checking off.
Mimic has been technically all but signed off on as far as the vets and quarantine office in Hawaii are concerned but I am still worried that I have forgotten something. . still worried that something I should have done isn't done yet!! I have gotten his FAVN-OIE test results back, his rabies shots done and have copies of all his shot records. I have him microchipped and he is on a treatment for fleas and ticks. . what more can I do till the health certificate is needed? Well aside from buying an approved crate...that'll wait.
I have gotten my shot records updated and got the EFMP screening overwith as well as gotten all the paperwork that J will need to get me on a plane and over there when he goes. .or at least I hope.
Aside from all of this. . there isn't really a whole lot I can do to prepare till the time gets closer!!
